I had a bit of a spin (literally) just a little while ago to make sure my controls were set up. I'm probably going to take a bit of convincing on the likeability of that car.

That car isnt locked in just yet. That said, once you get your head around it, it is great fun. Just tough.

I think mentally I was hoping for a PCars2 Formula Rookie (which I love to drive). This ain't that.

Maybe I need to look at setup or FFB configuration. I found it really hard to detect when the rear was losing traction. In VR the central virtual mirror would pop up when the car was sliding, which started out being my primary method of telling that my arse was about to overtake me.

It has a bit more power and has slicks.

Once you get your head around it, it is quite good, but very unforgiving.

Dont shift down too quickly. Dont slam the brakes on whilst turning in. Trail some throttle in some corners.

so we is going to test some cars and tracks at 8.30 tonight if anyone wants to look in. we might hold off on the rookie for now or just run it at the end of Friday night.
let me reassure you it becomes very fun when you start getting your head around it.

Don't change plans based solely on my noise. My problem just might be FFB settings or something.

Just installed and gave it a quick run, car is fun and game runs smooth with WMR. Will try and have a go tomorrow night

I found the FFB more sensible when disabling the vibration-when-understeering effect. I can't remember exactly what it was called.
