Those odd motorsport moments

Post by durbster »

Every now and again, the thought pops into my head that Pastor Maldonado won a race for Williams and each time, it takes me a few moments to work out whether it really happened or if I just imagined it. :D

Do you have random motorsport events that just pop into your head every now and again?

This Kobayashi photoshop stuck in my mind. Sometimes when cars stop on the side of the track I wish they could just stand up and carry the car off. Or if they bounce hard off a curb they need to make sure their feet don't drop out the bottom.

This was one of my first memories of F1, and one of the weirdest races I've seen.

This for me as I really thought my most favourite driver was destined to never win the WDC.

Mansell in Canada 1991 when he was so busy waving to the crowd on the last lap that he let the revs drop too low and the gearbox lost hydraulic pressure and jammed

Was Mansell the dumbest F1 driver ever? What was he pulling through Maggots, Becketts etc? Was it 20G or something? LOL

The last V8 Supercar race was one of these - though 90% of the blame lies with Whincup for that one, the rest on Race Control for panicking and waving cars through that were in the correct spot.
