Is it real NBN, ie FTTP? We're so used to it now it'd be a big step back if we lost it.

Internal house cabling can play a big part in slow speeds and drop outs.. Chop chop, back to one outlet.

Well, being a former Telstra tech, you can rest assured the cabling is good.

I was on Optus cable in 1997. Apart from upload speeds, I am just back to that connection.

Imagine if we were all on FTTP now like we were supposed to be originally, might have been handy with everyone working from home and video conferencing all of a sudden.

was that outlet mounted on top of your roof Darren ? that looks nasty
If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you finally have enough horsepower.

With FTTC, you're sending a small current back down the phone line to power the DPU in the pit. So it can speed up corrosion on a socket that was otherwise fine when it had ADSL on it.

I'm sitting on my cable for as long as possible... 100 / 5 is fine.. go to NBN and get 50 / 5 at the same price... NBN is supposed to improve your Internet world not reduce.... sigh!
