How many jobs have you had?
Was asked this today and said a few. Turns out to be 10! (Some of those have been part time though) Fucking hell. Been working 35 years though.

Re: How many jobs have you had?
Been working almost 20 years although two of those I was out of the country. In that time I've had 6 jobs which isn't bad for my line of work, where it's common for people to move every 2-3 years.
If I included the jobs I did on the working holiday visa in Australia then there'd be another 10 at least.

Only 3 for me. 15 years at the first place, 3 at the second and I'm in my 3rd year at my current job. Still drop in and say hello at my first workplace a few times a year.

Re: How many jobs have you had?
Jobs or companies?
4 shitkicker style jobs/companies before I worked full time.
3 short term fulltime contracts at different places before I got my first decent fulltime job
4 roles over 7 year there.
4 roles in 4 places since then.
So technically 12 places, or 15 if you include the job changes.

Re: How many jobs have you had?
1 for me, yep 30 years & counting.
Mind you it's been about 3 different careers in that time, just with the same company.
I did work a couple of summers at the local milk bar as a teenager. I was the only male so my jobs included the heavy lifting when deliveries arrived, bagging ice from the ice machine each morning before we opened, serving fuel & gas bottle refills to the thousands of holiday makers. Those were some really fun times thinking back on them now.

Fish and chip shop and fruit and veggie shop as summer holiday jobs when i was a kid.
Then 31 years of laying floors, with 2 brief stints off the tools in the shops i worked for, they were 2 months each.

Technically ....... 1
I've worked in the same building since finishing my degree in 1993. Within that I've moved around a little bit but more from being retasked due to my skill set (I'm good at technical stuff and I learn new things very quickly). I haven't actually applied for any jobs since I started there. I'm currently a flow cytometry specialist and I only got that job cos the human genome project I worked on was coming to an end and the building director passed me in the corridor one day and said 'do you fancy a bit of flow cytometry? It's computers and fiddling with stuff, it's right up your street' I said yeah alright and I've been in there since 2008!!

Re: How many jobs have you had?
5 in total for me.
4 research projects over 10 years (molecular biology), the turnover is pretty normal in that field, you get 2 or 3 years funding, then when that project finishes you move to something else.
After that, retrained as designer and have worked the last 20 plus years with the same company in graphic design/web development.

Re: How many jobs have you had?
Maybe 5...
1) Used to help out my dad in his business(es) doing odd jobs when i was in high school. Not sure if this really counts as a "job", but it made me realise i didn't want to work in a factory.
2) Casual marker/tutor at Adelaide Uni,
3) Exam invigilator at Uni of South Aus
4) Groundwater Modeller at a consultancy
5) Groundwater Modeller at the SA Dept for Water

Re: How many jobs have you had?
I suppose if I interpret the question as what I actually do then my answer would be one. I started doing web development professionally in 2001, and I'm still doing it now.
