Designer and builder of RALT open wheelers before helping Jack Brabham at Cooper, later to become lead designer for Brabham's F1 team, Built McLaren Can-Am cars under license for his next company Trojan, combined with a few attempts at F1 with smaller teams and then developed RALT into a F2-F3 world beater.

Historic motorsport's openwheeler grids these days are mostly full of cars he designed, such was his skill.

Died peacefully at 95.
May he rest in peace.

Those were the days. They made F1 engines from scrap.

One of the pioneers.
