Did anyone else think the first SC was completely unnecessary?
Why did they decide to throw a full SC instead of a VSC as they only needed to roll K-Mag's car back a few meters into the gap of the armco fencing.
Hate to think it was a call so they could spice up the race as it was already turning into another boring event till then. Umm...

LeClerc's crash was massive, I was surprised he was able to get out unscathed when seeing the live footage but shows how good all the safety is these days.

Bring on Mugello & Imola later!!!
One of the podcasts or after race things said they had to push it back tot he pits because there wasnt enough room to get the car and marshalls into that area. Who'd know.
Interesting take but isn't that a Fire Marshall's post indicated by the red painted end on the armco?
Eitherway it seems strange any Marshall's post with a gap like that can't recover a car back into the void.

Pretty obviously not enough space for a car there. And they really did need the SC for enough of a gap to safely push the car

Yeah the car was never going to fit in that space and still provide enough room for the marshals.

Ah so it was too narrow, like I said just "seems strange any Marshall's post with a gap like that can't recover a car back into the void."

I think there is a new policy which states they are not allowed to leave stricken cars exposed now too.
