Hi from the Goat Track ;)

Post by Slammer »

It's been a VERY long time since I've frequented these parts, so I thought I'd pop in to say Hi to everyone.
Geez Google is great / and scary.
Doing a search for "Norbs ARSE" is not a pleasant way to surf these days, especially with the french tickler standing over my shoulder... explain that one !!

I think it's been about 2 years since I've been here, and in that time, I am happy to say that there have been no more additions to the clan... Dr Athari made sure of that !! (is he the same guy that snipped you Woodsy?) Boy have I got a story bout that one - for later.

Anyways, it's great to see the community is still thriving. I hope to participate a lot more now that this place has been bookmarked. Looking forward to catching up on a few thousand threads...

Welcome back dude! You were the first ARSE I ever met in real life - far out, how many years ago was that? We're likely to have a meet up when people are in town for the GP so you should keep it in mind. :tilt:

Well - I'll be damned !!!
12 years ago I searched for 'Norbs Arse' and it started this thread.

Fast forward to today - stuck in lockdown and getting my Sim Racing juices flowing again, I stumbled upon a video on YouTube and notice some guy racing against 'Norbury'. Once again, I google 'Norbs Arse' and I'm back.

Sim Racing is less of a reality these days, and is confined to my PS4 (when I'm allowed) - but the juices ARE flowing. Might be another expensive journey coming up as god knows when we'll be let out again, and I don't think there's anything worthwhile playing on a mid-2011 iMac and no wheel...

Great to see this community is still thriving, and some very familiar names from WAAAAYYYY back.

Certainly has mate… TOOO long !!
Hoping the current bug sticks with the Sim world - but more importantly to keep in touch with you legends. Have spent a bit of time reading through the forum and great to see some very familiar names still active - especially ‘the sultan of Hoppers’.

Good times…..

AMS2 - Yes
Bots - NFI

My search sent me to some interview the great Norbster did with some American guys - heard his voice and instantly thought of South Melbourne dim sims for some reason…

Norbs is so famous in the sim community that they named a bot after him! Isn't it beautiful.
