All good! let us know what you decide, ultimately I don't think you could go wrong with a profile rig in general!

The P1-X is looking like solid contender. Need a way to mount the 49 inch and a 27 above it.

Re: Race Sim Tech & Tips
I've often wondered for those with a multi-position rig, how often do you actually change it to suit the driving you're doing (GT, Formula, etc)?
Cause you'd have to get used to the different positions & in thoery your FOV or more importantly your horizon shift changes.

Im not sure everyone is as picky about FOV as you are Duke.Duke wrote: ↑Tue Sep 28, 2021 5:38 pm I've often wondered for those with a multi-position rig, how often do you actually change it to suit the driving you're doing (GT, Formula, etc)?

The reason I am asking about sliding pedals and seats is if other people want to jump in and have a playe, they can. The current set up I can only move the seat, and for some people, it isnt enough.

Re: Race Sim Tech & Tips
Yes I s'pose so but I'd also say that anyone willing to go to the lengths of buying a rig for multi-positions & actually using the different options would care enough about thier FOV / horizon shift.norbs wrote:Im not sure everyone is as picky about FOV as you are Duke.Duke wrote: ↑Tue Sep 28, 2021 5:38 pm I've often wondered for those with a multi-position rig, how often do you actually change it to suit the driving you're doing (GT, Formula, etc)?

I totally get why you'd want that flexibility if you shared a rig or had many opportunities for others to try or use it like what you're doing. Much like I made sure mine had a sliding seat, knowing the fov / horizon is only correct when in my preferred position & still being able to have family & friends get a taste of using it.
So my question is aimed more towards racers who don't have others use thier rigs.

Re: Race Sim Tech & Tips
Been thinking about the amount of people that have tried my seat on a box rig, and I think the number is in the 40s! Ranging from a tall and skinny cyclist 6"6', woodsy who is tall and solid, all the way down to 8 year old kids. So it is probably a lot more flexible that I realised anyway. We had to drag the pedals and box they sit on forward for the kids.
The one thing I will miss on a separate cockpit is my Unistrut (thanks Telstra) sliding monitor mount.

Another DD wheel is coming(?)
https://mozaracing.com/wheel-base-r21/
With 21Nm of torque on tap the R21 can lay down an ultra-wide torque range that accurately reproduces the dynamic steering characteristics of top racing cars from F1 to IndyCar. Feel the road through the steering wheel.

Re: Race Sim Tech & Tips
With mine, except for moving the seat forward and backwards there is zero chance of moving the wheel/pedals, although the rig has adjustment knobs its an absolute pain in the ass to adjust and get right, it would have taken me 1-2 hours to line all the parts up to get my ideal seating position, there is no way im moving it for anyone else!Duke wrote: ↑Tue Sep 28, 2021 10:12 pmYes I s'pose so but I'd also say that anyone willing to go to the lengths of buying a rig for multi-positions & actually using the different options would care enough about thier FOV / horizon shift.norbs wrote:Im not sure everyone is as picky about FOV as you are Duke.Duke wrote: ↑Tue Sep 28, 2021 5:38 pm I've often wondered for those with a multi-position rig, how often do you actually change it to suit the driving you're doing (GT, Formula, etc)?

Re: Race Sim Tech & Tips
Not sure I like the 45 degree angle parts, the best thing about a profile rig is compatability, seemly this would remove some.
Like if I wanted to use a sim labs pedal mount, I could have, this looks like it might be abit shit like that..

Yeah. Good point. I am currently looking and possibly mix and matching stuff.
Track Racer for the 2 monitor mounts is $460 unless I am reading the site wrong. Sim Lab is $280.
Not going to lie, my balls tinlge looking at this one.

Re: Race Sim Tech & Tips
Enkosi have come back with a pretty good quote, with some custom made screen mounting options for the 49 and a 27 inch. it worries me a little that I cant find any people that have used them.

Re: Race Sim Tech & Tips
I thought some was single and some double, but I will ask.
Price was sort of ball park with the others. It could come down to what i can get timing wise.
