Forecast of rain on Sunday so big rumours Hamilton will take an engine penalty.

Hamilton has arrived at the track in a very similar outfit to what Norbs has on today

Lewis is just hanging on in this championship. We'll see how he copes on the run in to the final race. Red Bull have pace to finish 2nd to Lewis at the least every time out but the reverse isn't true for Mercedes.

Re: 2021 Formula 1 Rolex Turkish Grand Prix
Yep. And of the races he hasn't finished he would have been 1st or 2nd too except for circumstances out of his control. Mercedes don't have that pace.
Looking at the upcoming races and Lewis surely taking a penalty it's going to take some extreme bad luck for Max to not win this year.

10 place grid penalty for Hamilton. He's taking a new ICE unit but not the whole engine. That seems a bit silly to me, why not take the lot for spares at least because it won't take him long to pass 10 cars from the back.

It might also mean he'll have to take another penalty at some point.

Ricciardo takes F1 power unit penalty in Turkey
Nothing to lose by doing this. His qualifying position was pretty average, even by this seasons standards!

Merc might have done the right thing because Ocon lost massive amounts of time on the last few laps.

Re: 2021 Formula 1 Rolex Turkish Grand Prix
I can never hear a damned thing the commentators are saying (they really need to address that during a race), but was there mention of Pirelli saying the tyres would only last a certain amount of time? If they did, how can the teams get away with running longer? A blowout on a long straight could get ugly.

Re: 2021 Formula 1 Rolex Turkish Grand Prix
It'd be an estimate based on running a certain pace and how abrasive they think the track is. Also depends how the driver looks after the tyres, track state, temp etc so they're often wrong. The teams also measure wear during practice/race sessions to make their own estimates.
Ocon's tyres at the end. In hindsight Hamilton should have pitted when first asked or when everyone else did. But staying out worked well for him last year.
