Formula 1 officials have rejected Mercedes' request for a review of Max Verstappen's driving during the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.

Stewards in Brazil ruled that there was no investigation necessary after Verstappen appeared to force Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes wide.

Governing body the FIA said Mercedes' appeal failed the test of raising significant new evidence into the case.

I don't understand why F1 don't have slow zone like in WEC. When the yellows come out thy barely lift for a fraction of a second. That's hardly slowing enough and being prepared to stop. They could have it automatically controlled to cut the speed and then restart it again. I've had that at karting tracks years ago.

Pretty normal race apart from the tyre failures but a good result for the championship. Hopefully another Lewis-Max 1-2 in Saudi and they basically go level on points into the final race for a winner takes all showdown.

Was a decent race aside from the lead 2. Crazy how much faster they were. Cars were able to follow a lot closer than I thought they would.

How about those Pirelli's? Fine until they're not.

Max can win the title at the next race in Saudi Arabia if he:

- Wins with Fastest Lap, and Lewis is 6th
- Wins, and Lewis is 7th
- Is 2nd with Fastest Lap, and Lewis is 10th
- Is 2nd, and Lewis fails to score
