A couple of submarines worth
Which ones mate? The French ones we prob need to pay a load for and never get, or the AUKUS ones that are coming in 2040 for a huge amount over budget?
Brilliant, I inch closer to something that resembles decent modern internet connection and have to go out and spend another $500 for the privilege of fewer drop outs.
WINNING
Hi Todd Baker,
Starting from the end of January 2022, NBN is planning on rolling out an upgrade to all Fibre to the Node (FTTN) and Fibre to the Building (FTTB) connections.
NBN will introduce two new functions to FTTN and FTTB services called Save Our Showtime (SOS) and Robust Overhead Channel (ROC). These new functions are designed to improve the stability of your connection and help prevent dropouts.
As a result of the upgrade, some customers may no longer be able to use their current modem if it is not compatible with the planned upgrades, or they may see their service degrade and their speeds slow.
I just got my laser beams installed to the premises. Termination and setup will take place late next month as I asked for a specific day for them to install.
Gonna be stoked to finally drop this 900/1000m copper run!
