Thats amazing how little time and runway it needs to get airborne.

US FAA are investigating. There's a bunch of red flags including a disconnected fuel line and tap, the speed with which he abandoned the aircraft, seemingly without attempting to restart, or look for a place to land despite plenty of options (at 10k feet, good outlanding options nearby), how he bailed while holding a selfie stick and continued to film himself and the door of the airplane being open before the engine stopped.

There's a lot of takes on this on YT, including multiple people who have used MSFS to demonstrate potential outlandings. This bloke is funny on it:

The FAA has revoked Olympian Trevor Jacob's private pilot certificate. The agency determined he purposely crashed a single-engine plane into the California hillside last November. Jacob reportedly 'violated federal aviation regulations' and operated the plane in a 'careless or reckless manner so as to endanger the life or property of another'. The snowboarder caused a stir when he posted a video in December showing him parachuting out of TaylorcraftBL64 and letting the plane crash into a hillside. Jacob claimed aircraft experienced engine trouble and he decided to ditch it because there was no safe place to land it. Aviation enthusiasts were skeptical ofJacob's motives, prompting the investigation that ultimately resulted in him no longer be allowed to fly.

This is a great channel. I've been ripping the audio on these to listen to in the car. Each episode he takes an air disaster and explains what happened and why. This one (the miracle on the Hudson as featured in the Tom Hanks film Sully - good film if you haven't seen it) came round in the car over the last couple of days and I had to watch it properly to see the last 5-6mins of the real comms during the bird strike. Amazing how calm they appeared to be as they worked out what they were going to do next.

This guy on YouTube regularly follows NTSB crash investigations and offers insight. Seems he has some personal connection with at least one of the victims -

Find out more here: Lilium.com
Proud to officially announce we’ve hit our targeted speed for our tech demonstrator Phoenix 2: 136kt (250 +km/h, 155 + mph).
This is meaningful as our target cruise speed at sea level for our confirming aircraft for will be up to: 155 mph / 250 km/h.
Our tech demonstrator hitting this target helps us to demonstrate stability and controllability of the aircraft and control software also in high speed and helps us towards certification of our conforming aircraft by validating our models in the high speed regime.
Flight details:
Flight Test Objective: Achieve top speed after full transition
Aircraft: Phoenix 2 Technology Demonstrator
