HAM usually goes well here and the Merc is looking decent in race trim. I wonder if there's any chance of an actual competition.

I do find these sorts of comments funny
Max Verstappen says it is not up to him to help team-mate Sergio Perez try to secure second place in the drivers' championship this year.
Verstappen said: "It shouldn't always be on me to get the points."
So much for doing it for the team when you've already got the title in the bag eh. The car was built around Max, and it's been very successful. I'm sure if they designed the car to Perez's driving style Max wouldn't be so happy.

Is it something peculiar to MV though? They all seem to be self centred arsehats when it comes to helping their teammates.

You see the occasional example of them trying to help ie: YT towing DR at Mexico. FA praising LS. but it sure seems like a dog eat dog world.

Horner doesn't seem to be a big fan of the sprint races
Horner said: "If there is a genuine desire from the fans, we should find a solution. But what we have at the moment isn't quite right for the drivers or the fans. There needs to be more to it.

"We have just won a sprint race and nobody quite knows what to do because all the focus is on a grand prix. It's like you've won a long run (in a practice session) and got a medal for it."

Horner dismissed the idea of a sprint championship, saying: "Who cares about that?"

But he added: "What should it be? Should it be a reverse grid, on championship order? Should it have more points attached to it? Should there be two grand prix during a weekend? I don't have the answer. I know what we have today needs tuning."

I'm in two minds about them. I agree with Brundle that a Sprint Shootout and Sprint Race are better entertainment than practice 2 and practice 3, but something doesn't seem quite right yet.

I agree they are better than a prac session. But when they are done and won, I agree that they feel a bit lost/awkward.
