I haven't played much in the past 15 months due to life happening. But waiting for me are tones like the following clip. So glad I won the ebay auction as the pedal has to be Japanese. The Taiwanese version sounds like a beehive rather than a chainsaw. I need to buy some strings when I get paid!

More pedal stuff. I do like the sound of this. I've always had owning a 5150/6505 as being my dream amp but it's ALOTTA amp for what I do. But this pedal might be more practical. About $360. But hell, who am I kidding, who doesn't want a stack?! Still I might get this pedal.

Been a good day in the Woods house today. My son got the late 70's Greco on the left and I got the Gibson on the right.

Mine was 3x the price of his, but his plays a bit better. I prefer the look of mine though. Funny thing was he wasn't intending to buy a guitar, he just came with me while I looked. That Greco has a real vintage vibe about it.

What's the switch for in place of the tone knob?

The Classics that year had a 15db boost switch. Not really much use to me, but neither is the tone knob that would normally be there.

Ah ok. I normally set my tone to 7 and leave it at that.

On a side note, I did try to play rocksmith on my Les Paul and the stupid game wanted me to raise the pick up height so damn high just for the sound to register. Shit software so only played it twice. Yet the Peavey software I have, the original height of the bridge pick up was more than enough.

Picked up some funny lookin new guitar gear a few weeks back.
One of my boys is learning the guitar and the other wanted to learn drums.

Mrs said gave me the green light to look for a e kit and since Ive always wanted to learn the drums as well the time was right.

Purchased an Alesis Command SE.
The brain features 70 drum kits (50 factory + 20 user) with over 600 sounds and 60 play-along tracks built-in. USB for uploading your own sound samples and songs to play along to and MIDI out for use with a DAW on the laptop.

I want to pickup a double kick pedal soon and another floor tom and cymbal pad. But as the toms have dual triggers ive got the rims of tom 1 & 2 set to a splash and 2nd crash and the rim of the floor tom to the bell of the ride.

I had not sat behind a kit since I was 16 and pretty much sucked.

I shocked myself that I could play pretty standard beats and fills after years of tapping on my legs, drumming with my feet while at work and the steering when whilst driving. Took me a little while to get use to using 3-4 limbs all at once but its all clicking.
