Landooooooooo! Lucky SC and even luckier that the SC picked up Max and slowed them all down but jeez did he have pace today.

Sorry for Oscar - nice work to get ahead of Charles and his pace on mediums was pretty much the same as Ferrari but he couldn't get the hard tyre switched on.

Really pleased for Norris. He's been right up there for quite a while now. Piastri kept Max honest in the first half too. The Red Bull didn't just disappear like in all the other races, I think Piastri kept him to about 2.5s the whole time.

Half decent race for Miami for a change and some reasonable battles further down the list. Seem to be rumours Antomelli will be in the Williams at Imola and I think they have nothing to lose by giving him a try. An unknown team (cough williams cough) put in a special request for his super license last week.

Norris now has double the points of Piastri and McLaren are almost double Mercedes. Not bad for a team that looked dead last 15 months ago.

The Stewards have given Kevin Magnussen a 10-second penalty and 3 penalty points for his collision with Logan Sargeant.

He has now accumulated a total of 10 penalty points. If he gets 2 more penalty points before 9th March 2025, he will face a race ban.

That's a dead cert!!!

On Ted's Notebook they were watching the McLaren team get ready for the formal celebrations and Fred Vasseur was there. Somebody chucked him a McLaren cap which he put on, then he hid behind a photographer while he got a bottle of champagne ready so he could join in with their celebrations.

He seems like a good laugh.
