I found my GPL cd!

Post by GT VIRUS »

:D i purchased this 2 years ago for $10 at my local newsagent, it looked like a cool game, but it wouldnt run and i shelfed it. Later i found the problem, but lost the game. Now i have found it again, and i know theres a lot of mods out there, so my question is where is a good place to get these mods, grahical updates and other things i might need? I love the older era and want it to look its best!

p.s i want the raise hand feature in more games!

Hey GT, welcome to history :)

Your first stop should be the RSC GPL forum ... http://forum.rscnet.org/forumdisplay.php?f=36

You'll find links to all the patches and shit you'll need to modernise the old banger, as well as links to the track database, addon database, 65 Mod and Thundercar Mod sites etc. Happy downloading

Any other questions, there's a bunch of quite knowledgeable guys there who'll help you out.

First grab the all in one patch, should be at Magnus' track datdabase http://trackdb.d2g.com/all-in-one.asp
then head to the GPLEA site and grab the latest cars. http://gplea.rscsites.org/
Also head to Klas' GPL Today for track updates to the original tracks. http://hem.bredband.net/klafje/gpl_today.htm
For sounds, try our very own 4of5's sound garage http://4of5.speedgeezers.com/
grab Do0g's Ferrari sound from there, it's a must. But first get sound patch to enable non-official engine sounds http://gplea.rscsites.org/sounds/carsound.zip
Also grab the 65 mod http://55and65.speedgeezers.com/gpl65/

I found the box and game manuals here the other day. I got it in early '99 for only $50. About the best $50 I've ever spent! :)
