The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou!

Post by smithcorp »

Watched this on the big screen when it first came out and got it again this week on DVD. What a great film. Very, very funny stuff. I've grown to appreciate Bill Murray's work and he's very good in this.

There's also some great music in it - a guy called Seu Jorge is in the cast and plays David Bowie songs in Portugese throughout the movie. I managed to track down the soundtrack - Bowie sounds great when you can't understand a word!

Anyone else appreciate this classic?

Yup, saw it a while ago. Found it a little slow, but enjoyed it. To misquote the movie show: No-one does deadpan like Bill Murray :cyclops:

I thought it was classic. Caught it as soon as it hit DVD because i missed the big screen release. I also liked the Royal Tanenbaums (sp?) too though. Oddball humour but it's cool the way it's done. :tilt:

Yeah, I loved it :) Quirky humour at it's best.

Definitely a top movie, watched it again the other day, the kids really liked it too. EK, the Royal Tenebaums  both movies in a similar vein with the quirkiness.
I don't know where I'm going but I'm on my way!
