Woohooo,

Just got the thrustmaster in the mail.

 HUGE thanks Cutter

Whats the deal with the software, use the disk in the box or is there updated drivers floating arround ?

Any tips other than the 50% FF in windows and 100% in LFS?

Yup, load the thrustmaster software, but you may need to update the FF
driver [I have to, an XP thing I believe] go here for the new one
http://ts.thrustmaster.com/eng/index.ph ... d=31&cid=1

You can do without the "Thrustmapper" software if you wish.
It assigns either single keys to the buttons, or you can programme
in keystroke sequences [or other commands if you want]
I use it a lot for NASCAR where I've assigned strings to a button
to cycle thru the F1 - F6 keys at 2 sec intervals, I've also assigned
Teamspeak talk key and volume to buttons and some of the pre
programmed message macro's to buttons as well.

In LFS I've set the thrustmapper to assign message macro's to buttons
as well as cycle thru the N button strikes at 3 secs, also the normal horn,
left view, right view, stuff as well.
Have a play and be aware of those keys you press a lot and start from there.
As for Force, I'm still playing with it, trying to find a single setting
that works for LFS, NASCAR GTP etc.
But start with 50% in windows and adjust from there.

One last question.. how do I split the brake / throttle axis in LFS ? So i can brake AND accelerate at the same time ?

Go to options in LFS, controls, and the third one down, select seperate. Then recal your axis and it should work fine :)

If that doesn't work, you might need to make it seperate in your thrustmaster settings.

tried that.. no go..

Cutter, Chaz ?

EDIT: Got it.. gotta create a thrustmapper profile and set the axis to seperate... then you can do it in LFS.

You need to use the thrustmapper software pixel. Load up a profile and select the axes tab. In there you can change it. I created my own profile for lfs that has it enabled. In fact I think you can assign a profile to lfs so that it loads when you launch lfs itself.
