does anybody know what is causing my mouse pointer to suddenly zooom off to a corner of the desktop/screen?
top or bottom left or right it seems to be at random... the only sure thing is that it will happen again, soon. and again. soon and again etc etc. it is driving me (more) crazy.
logitech usb mouse.
PIII chip asus mobo
256 ram
64mb vid card (cheap. nvidia gforce 420chipset) pci slot
(it hasnt happened while the cursor has been in this box)

its a optical mouse. the mat doesnt 'seem' shiny to me. but i am not a mouse. it is a promo mat i picked up at some expo
(not a geek show) so it probably is the mat.
i will change my 'mousing surface' and see how i go.

no problems since tossing mouse pad and using piece of cardboard (back of writing pad)
