Round 1 server detials.

Post by Gizmo »

I started sending out pm's but cbf doing it to all of you. So here is the detials.

The server is up now!

Name: GSA-XGN AAL V8Factor
P/w: V8FRocks

A 15 minute qual session will start at 8:30. The qual session will be held in the last Practice session (Practice 4). Then the top 10 will have 1 flying lap in reverse order (in the qual session). This way we can simulate a top 10 shootout. Positions 11 onwards won't be affected.

From then on it's racing! Make sure your in the room about 10 mins early so you don't miss out on anything.

You must make 2 pitstops. 1 for tyres, 1 for fuel. No pitstop window. The race is 48 laps.

Good luck.

If you cycle through the pages on your little monitor (Enter key is default) You'll get to your pit strategy page, then you can use arrow keys to scroll down to each tyre and then use left/right arrows to change the tyre to "NO CHANGE" or back again:

That'll do your fuel only stop, as for tyres only, I have no idea. I set my tyres for a change, then say you have 34 litres left then as I'm trundling down the pitlane I set that I only want 34 litres. It changes the tyres, and I'm pretty sure it doesn't take any extra time because the fuel is already in there...so you end up with new tyres and the same amount of fuel - I assume thats what you're supposed to do.

Cheers..........

I assume the strategy set up in the garage is only for fuel and that tyres changes are automatically done unless adjusted via the LCD.

Correct Sterling.

So unless you want to change tyres twice. On one stop make sure tyres are set to "No Change". And on the other have 0 fuel.

Oh - make sure that you have as much fuel as you want to leave the pit stop with. '0' fuel and they'll take fuel out!

Yeah, you won't make it far with 0 fuel!

I think the easiest way to put it is, on your in-car pit strategy screen, whatever fuel you input there is the fuel you will leave the pit box with.

Next time.
Looks like I may be there a bit more often.

I spent Wed bouncing around the Catapillar plants in Burnie
working out the fire protection, and today down in Swansea and the old woolen mills in Lonny doing the same.

But I'll probably be back before Xmas so we might do a northen Tassie ARSE meet.
