Question...
I applied this to my shiny new (for me) P4 3.8 this morning.
It idles at ~37 degrees and peaks at 59 under load.
I understand AS5 will get better after around 200hrs or so, but are these good baseline figures to start off with, or should I try applying it again?
bearing in mind the prescott cpus run hot at the best of times.... im using an XP-120 HS with a panaflow 120mm fan.

Yeah, I love it.
On a stock CPU HSF P4C 3GHz, saw instant 5 degree improvement.
Bought a zalman vf900cu vga cooler yesterday for my x800 pro modded to XT PE... applied AS5 and temps combined with cooler and more overclock resulted in 25 degrees less heat from the chip. Couldn't believe how much of an improvement I got for under $40.

I had the same card (well, a real XTpe) and the same fan.... I saw the same temp decreases - with el-cheapo heatsink paste... I think its more the vga cooler
having said that tho....
I applied AS5 to my cpu, the temp has dropped roughly 2 degrees in the last 2 days... hope it keeps getting better!
so yeh, it is good stuff...
I think I may have just contradicted myself....
