Re: JTM's Supra
Video from last week at Morgan Park. The track was alot of fun, took me a while to learn it but got some good laps towards the end of the day, too bad the camera ran out of battery. Got some footage of the first few times out though.

by the way. Sound is just wind noise, trying to put a song to it but youtube is being slow. Took me like 4 hours to upload it and i forgot to edit in a song before i started it

It may or may not help with the wind noise, but if you want the windows down, you could try some foam over the top of where the mic is on the camera.

Re: JTM's Supra
Should have car noise in the next one. Ill try some foam over the camera's microphone, it also has a socket for an external microphone so might play around with some other mics.
Today we got the rollcage back in after getting it painted black, started putting in a HKS oil cooler. Hopefully during the week we should be getting front strut brace and new steering wheel in. Next weekend is a Lakeside sprint so i will get some more video there.

Re: JTM's Supra
Ive done some onboards in a mates Datto 1600 where we attached an external mic in the engine bay and ran the lead into the cam. Made a huge difference and sounded killer.JTM29 wrote:Should have car noise in the next one. Re: JTM's Supra
Was at Lakeside yesterday for the sprints, its gotta be my favorite track . Got my time down to a 1:03.7 from a 1:06.9, so i made a good improvement.
http://www.jtm29.net/2011/lakeside-stre ... -13032011/ Bit of a write up on it.
Got some videos coming, uploading each of the 3 runs separately and not in HD because it takes so damn long to upload.
First on is up, i went too quickly on my warmup lap and ended up catching up to the others too quickly and hitting traffic on all but 1 lap.

Re: JTM's Supra
The car is speed limited to 180, the speedo is way off the end so im not sure, but it definately cuts power towards the end of the straight. Looking at getting a haltech to remove the speed limiter.

Re: JTM's Supra
I love to watch these.
The previous was good for one thing; to see how quickly you left everyone in the dust (and also to watch you drive)
This one shows the track better. I like both, tbh
Grats mate! Really nice laps.

Re: JTM's Supra
Was out at Lakeside on Sunday, got a 1:02.3 in the first run and was consistently in the 1:02's all day which is a good improvement from the 1:03.7 last time. The only changes from the last run is a Speed Limit Defencer which removed the 180km/h speed limiter that the Supras come with, so i was getting a higher top speed down the main straight. And we have put in a smaller steering wheel and a spacer to move it closer to me.
We have new lower swing arms for front and rear coming which will allow us to get some more negative camber.
Here is a video from the day. The incar is from my last run and the outside footage is from the morning practice, just stitched it together.

Re: JTM's Supra
Great footage, love the mixed outside shots.
You're clearly driving it harder now, bits of corrections here and there ... hehe
