On Telstra, I could barely get a connection at times at the grand prix this year. Has been pretty good everywhere else though.

Well, I'm on the voda network, and when I go into the city for meetings, oftentimes I can't even load up a google map it's that slow.
Here on the central coast you either have data reception or don't, it's patchy. Altho it has improved a lot lately, it's still not "good".
Surprise, no sig. Now there is. Or is there?

If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you finally have enough horsepower.

Yeah you, me and Dex couldn't get anything that day. As soon as the last F1 session ended everyone fucked off home and we all had connection again.

And yet Mr Abbott says wireless is the way to go. Fucktard is either an idiot or being badly briefed. Option A for mine. How anyone can argue the technical merits of wireless vs fibre is beyond me. Cost, that is a whole separate thing. :D

I think the only merit in wireless is the mobility around cities. Otherwise there are access points everywhere. Out in the sticks a true long-range wireless solution maybe great - no need for cabling! But otherwise, cable beats wireless anyday.

Well considering the quoted speeds were something like 8000/1500 im pretty happy.... Looks to be faster than some of the ADSL 2+ here... I was getting 900kbps last night while fishing..

ADSL1

Pretty happy with it. On a healthy torrent it can sit around 900kB/s

Back to the 3-4G plans.. what about the $5-10 for extra limit, not just looking for plans with a bigger limit?

It's streaming Apple TV way better than the optus cable was. But yeah, I haven't had a good play around with other stuff... It's obviously going to depend on the speed of the overseas servers, and our (telstras) connection to it as well.

Ha! Porn should be the last type of download (unless the need for it is now haha). How about the basics; software, games, tv shows, movies, music or hell even books. Far out you could even have a quick troll of YouTube and actually download the interesting stuff in 720p.

Actually, trying searching for a car or house... with your speeds you might be the only person that could realistically do it :p

Quick torrent test was about 2.3MB/s. I think torrents are a bit too dependant on the uploaders speeds to go super quick. Maybe if i lined up 5 or so at once it would work faster. 4.3MB/s now.

This is mine but it doesn't anywhere near reflect my actual line speeds, don't know why, maybe it's my location. On good torrents I'll get 1.1MB/s down and close to 100 kb/s up.
