Some shit to disable.

Didn't know windows update is P2P by default. Nice bandwidth leach there.

So apparently Im best to wait for windows to upgrade to 10 and then reinstall via usb/iso after if I want a clean install as I will then have the option.
Can anyone else conform this? I assume windows digs up the serial from deep within the electrical gizmosphere.

As for the shit to disable, you can do most of it easily when you set it up by clicking on the little customise settings text to the left of screen instead of the obvious EXPRESS button to the right

I did the same as above, took about 1hr(was not at pc all the time, could of been quicker) or so to DL and install to a working desktop, from an upgrade Win7Pro to Win10Pro.

Should have kept 8.1 on my surface, its a bit of a clusterfuck on a tablet, personally I thought the metro interface with a big tile for the desktop and being easily able to swith between was perfect for a tablet, now its a PITA

No sign of it yet for me. My SSD at work only has 4Gb left on it so I'm not sure whether I'll be able to upgrade or not. The Windows folder alone is 40+Gb

Win7 on the PC I am testing now is 34.6Gb
Current Win10 folder is 17.4Gb

Nice sized 64gb USB to move off some Non-essential files.. more then enough free space, that or a nice tidy up.

Ok, so it is not working as intended then yet..

Tried media creation tool on 5 different machines so far, upgrade or clean, failed on all, where as the delete and force updater worked for me on all.

Might be why there going for the staggered release, that and using the P2P network to offload the data usage.

What do you blokes think? My Win7 box is eligible for Win10 so I'll upgrade at some point however I think I'd get more use from Win10 running in a VM on the laptop. I'm thinking is need a separate licence though.

I'm just waiting on the sidelines, there's no compelling need for me to upgrade and I'm happy to let others be guinea pigs, will let M$ iron out a few bugs before I jump on.

I'm going to let my wife's pc be the guinea pig, it's a bit like a workstation, just Office and a few things on it so should upgrade ok and I can get a feel for Win 10 and make sure the printer and things like that all work. Then at some point in a month or two I'll do my gaming pc, upgrade and then clean install.
