any chance we could have the race results using this tool as well as normal write ups
they are using it on nz servers and is pretty useful info
they also do one for lfs

There was an old motorbike game called gp500 done by melbourne house, IIRC it had an excellent version of phillip island. NFI if it could be imported.9ra55h0ppaH wrote:any idea if anyone is working on Phillip Island for rF? i remember racing around there in Redline GTP for n2003, seemed like a good recreation of the track too

I've still got a copy of GP500 here, still fun to play when it is occasionally dusted offRighteous wrote:There was an old motorbike game called gp500 done by melbourne house, IIRC it had an excellent version of phillip island. Purely out of interests sake and something I'm almost ashamed to admit it but I took the Ford for a trondle around hidden valley and too my surprise after only a couple of laps I was a good half a second quicker than what I had done with the Holden Is it just me or is the Ford easier to drive and less 'taily' than the Holden?

Well I had never bothered driving the Ford before but gave it a swing with the same setup I was using on the Holden and instantly went from a flat 1:08 to a 1:07.5.
The Ford seemed to have much better rear end grip out of the corners and I could get onto the throttle much quicker and harder, anybody compared the straight line speed of the two?

Both cars use the same physics as far as i know. But I've also found myself quicker in the Falcon - could just be the different cockpit view suits some people better. I haven't driven the Falcon around HV yet but I seriously doubt I'd be half a second faster. I'm about the right amount of time for myself off the top guys as it is.

I think they're different, I feel the Holden is faster down the straights anyways, and is a bit more twitchy around the bendy bits. I found when I first started the Holden was a handful, and I could get to quite a nice pace quite quickly with the Ford, but it became difficult to push on to faster times.
The Holden was difficult to learn, and it took me longer to get down to the Fords time, but once I did I just breezed past it and currently I'm about 1 sec a lap faster with the Commodore around Bathurst.
GO GRM!
