That's not a cricket score. It's the government's collective I.Q.

At least the broadcasters won't have to cut a highlights package. They can just play the entire innings in toto.

I doubt Stuart had any trouble pulling a Broad last night.
Bet young Joe got a Root too.

Rogers has his eye in and Warner is actually showing a modicum of self control for a change.
At least we've not wilted and capitulated.

This just reinforces for me what I have thought about Clarke since he took over the captaincy.

So many of the decisions he makes are about what is best for him.

If he was thinking of the team he'd retire immediately and allow Smith to use Test #5 as the start of the rebuilding process.

Instead, Mr Clarke needs to make it all about him and remove any opportunity for the team to get any value out of the last test.

I respect the guy for his batting prowess, up until 2-3 years ago, but since then he has been a waste of space.

That pic should say first session, not the first day.

The only way Clarke can make his final games last is to ensure those batting before him don't get out too quickly.

I wish they would piss off 20/20 (Slap & Tickle) from International Cricket. Leave it for mass market fluff like the IPL and Big Bash. The damage it's doing to the pure form of the game has been starkly demonstrated by this series.

I agree Jamo but I think the damage is done by then.
Kids are just brought up on it nowadays and it just completely infiltrates their approach to batting.

What a lame series. There's barely been a contest.

Cricket's in a precarious position at the moment, I don't know if anyone saw the 4 Corners report a few weeks back. India with the help of Australia and England control the game now 100%, it's not a coincidence the Ashes are every two years now, it's all about the money. The development of cricket in other nations is falling by the wayside when it's critical for crickets survival that we build these other nations up.

The trouble we have is the 2 month break 4 day cricket takes for the big bash. Mid summer and no 4 day cricket is asking for trouble and that showed in England. Our batsmen were like teenagers, couldn't leave it alone!

The 2 teams in this series were close but it was a battle of the brain fade. Win the first session and it fucked with the other teams head.
