Hey everyone, I might be able to not participate for the rest of this season. My amazing logitech G27 has decided to give up the ghost. Don't know when I will be able to purchase another one. Doubt it will be any time soon as currently, I am trying to save as much as possible and will most likely buy another one around October November once Project CARS and F1 2014 and a more updated version of AC has come out

Just a heads up guys, a new tyre model is coming in the update this weekend, which is sure to change the effects of any pre-race practice runs you may have done prior.
This Friday, the next update for Assetto Corsa will include an updated tire model (with improved tire wear and graining) & some improvements to the graphics engine.
The AACL admin team will be carefully assessing this update, so keep an eye out here in case we need to announce anything significant about the current series after the update. ;)

It isn't being recognised at all. Won't work on the ps3 or pc. Doesn't come up on the logitech profiler at all. Originally, I had an issue with the throttle pedal input fluctuating so I cut the usb cable and re-wired it and it got fixed; that was about 10 months ago. And now it doesn't work at all. I have had it for 2 years so gotten a good run out of it. Everything else is perfect; shifter hasn't had a single issue pedals are perfect; replaced the brake pedal spring with an adjustable one for better pedal feel (although I will remove it and put it in the new one once I buy it- still have the original spring).

Don't know if I am willing to sell it just yet. Will try to rewire the usb cable and see if that is the issue. If that doesn't fix it then maybe

I have exactly the same issue with my old G25 :( No racing for me either which is probably safer for all concerned..

Hopefully it's an easy fix on the usb cable.

When should we expect the update, late Friday night? Also could that mean the hotlaps will close early or that we'll need to resubmit new laps times?

Updates are early Saturday morning. We'll make an announcement on Saturday afternoon but I doubt that you will be required to submit new hot laps, unless you want to of course.

I caved in the end. I tried the Z4 and the McLaren. I flogged the life out of them, then tried the M3..... I was instantly a second a lap quicker.

So, M3 it is. I don't know if it's the update or the car, but man o man does the wheel feel "light" compared to the other cars.

The new tyre physics have totally stuffed me up... was set on the Z4, it felt good but now it feels slow and yuk... will have to put some laps in before the race to get used to the new tyres.

Hey gals, Ben Dowel here (A.K.A RenZ, Ren or Renesis). Just introducing myself incase I wasn't racing with MNR or AAL at the same time you where and you were worried..
I was originaly an OzSport member with Flinty (we work together) and then was an ~AR~ member later in my MNR career.. Also did a couple of AAL races.

I look forward to my first Assetto Corsa race with you guys. See you on the track!

Davo has been hosting a TS session on race nights for the last couple of rounds. He posts the details in these race threads on the night usually.
I don't usually jump on it as I don't want to be distracted, I find it hard enough to stay on track for 20 laps. :p

OzSport FTW!!

Welcome back Ben, already smashing it I see... is that on the PS3 controller? lol

I host an AC server under the name of XRST Racing and also a TS server on my VPS for race nights but so far only Astr0 has joined in on the TS goodness. We have had a good chat before/after races but during the race we're usually silent... there's always the mute speakers button. The TS server is @ games.xrst.net.au and I'm usually on most nights while practising on the server.

Also track grip is 90%, makes it interesting but slow hehe

The XRST #2 server is running the same combo with the same pass.
