Jeeeezus... missed the TV coverage but tuned in on the radio between lessons... OMFG, how did we nearly throw that one away :shake:

Sounds like Warne cast some magic and the English batsmen got the wobbles. Well done to the Aussies for putting up a great fight through the second innings and with the bowling....

Long Range weather forecast for the Oval is -15C and blizzards  looks like we get the urn back :D

I hope the last game is as exciting as the last three and, obviously, that the result is ether a draw or a Pommie win. GLA

I belive the correct term is "Stealing defeat from the jaws of victory" fucking heart wrenching watching that last 20 runs.

Well done the Aussies.......almost snatched it again even after playing so poorly for 2 days.

The aussies really toughed it out and for that I am proud of the boys, if they show that amount of commitment in the 5th test then I would suggest you English lads are going to be a little dissappointed at the end.

I think the tide may have just turned for the aussies thanks to Englands taunting of our batsmen and dubious bowler resting tactics, nothing worse than pissing off an aussie mate............. almost cost the poms their certain win last night.

The next test is going to be a corker......... can't wait!! :tilt:

This series has done more for test match cricket and getting people excited about test cricket than a lot of the ODI's of resent years. It has shown how good Test Cricket can be when played at the highest level. SBS have score a coupe (sp?) in terms of ratings; and I think have given us better coverage and analysis than 9 have in resent years. Its been fresh exciting and enjoyable, regardless of who wins. Cricket will have attracted a lot of new fans I think.

Brett Lee, Shane Warne... best of the batsman and bowlers... where the hell would we be without them!?!?!

Can we finally make some changes to our bloody side now, seeing we've arsed the ashes series. Play MacGill for christ's sake, he's good but no one gives him the chance... Him and Warne can quickly bowl overs and can easily pin down batsman. If he plays i bet exactly this happens and they turn the game into a possible winner for our not so capable batsman.

As we see this tour coming to an end, I can see the inevitability of Australia losing it's grip on the top rung in world cricket.
We have become complacent, and we keep relying on the genuine champions to win the games for us.
The top order has been shithouse, playing as if they were millionaires.
Gilchrist needs an easing of his duties. Put a specialist keeper in for a couple of months.
The bowling needs more depth. Bringing Tait in for the 4th test was a positive move. Lee has done a good job during this tour, but he is not of sufficient class to take over the no. 1 bowling mantle when Glen retires.
Kasprowicz is not a long term option.
Gillespie has been an undersung hero for a long time. But his heart has gone out of it. I don't know if it was the London bombings spooking him or what, but he's not playing as he is able.
As a captain, Ponting is neither inspiring, nor tactically brilliant. He's probably our weakest captain since Kim Hughes. But even he had the excuse of little talent to work with.

Why not. If England win or draw the next test. They get them. Besides Australia has not played well enough for an ashes win. Mind you its a bit presumbtuous for the paper to start saything that BEFORE actually winning them.

Just the typical England tabloid papers, blow everything out of proportion.

We can only hope that their dreams are shattered again like they were in the ODI's after having our bowlers carrying handbags etc... Well it's the batsman now but still wouldn't it be nice to just totally piss all over their parade.

England do have trouble actually winning things... so there is hope, just not much :P

Well a good first session..

Australia AGAIN stuffed up by not picking McGill.. and again we see a leggie taking all the wickets..

Tait is bowling em all over the place.. get him outta there.

With only one, maybe two good bowlers its done.. The Poms have done us :(

Warney is the only guy that can save us, once again our selectors failed us. Drop a batsman and put in MacGill. But too late now, we've got perform with what we've got.

Fingers crossed Warney keeps up the magic.

Interesting day ahead... weather permitting.

Cant see us lasting too long at the crease... depends what we can do with the ball.

Hats off to Warne... he's just a wicket taking machine.

Pretty good day so far for us :)

I think keeping you poms under 400 was pretty tidy on this pitch. We have a match on our hands. :D
