Overtaken by a Vectra/Astra down the back straight? That was great to watch. The way he handles it through traffice is fantastic. Was this during a race or just a normal day at Nordscliefe?

Due to the fact they were using the GP track with the Nordscliefe ide say that was during the Nurburgring 24hr (prac session or the race).

Latvala and his co-driver were fine. With every hit, the roll cage was getting smaller and smaller so if it hadn't been for the tree that stopped them, they might not have been so lucky. Astonishing

2000 World of Outlaws At Bristol Motor Speedway.
Part 2 of a 11 part clip on the tube, each clip is about 8mins long which cover the 2 dashes and the B & A Main, well worth the look.

The crazy bastards covered the NASCAR oval in dirt and let the outlaws loose on the high banking. They broke the NASCAR lap record by some 2 seconds at the time as well.
I remember watching this on Foxtel years ago and only just thought about it now when lapping the Radical around Bristol in iRacing.

Darren Pool and Chris Beer were left to count their blessings after escaping injury in a high-speed accident during the RDP Welsh Rally over the course of the weekend.

The pair were contesting the event across the challenging Epynt stages in Pool's Talbot Sunbeam when they lost control going over one of the numerous jumps that litter the stages, with the car rolling a number of times before finally coming to rest on its roof.

Such was the force of the incident that Pool lost his helmet as the car went end over end, although both he and Beer were able to escape with only minor cuts and bruises.

“I was going over a jump I'd done about 25 times before, but this time for some reason, we lost our line while we were in the air,” Pool told the Mirror. “There was a gust of wind and we realised we were coming down all wrong. The car landed in a ditch and just started rolling over and over.

“After a few rolls, my helmet was ripped off and at one stage, my arms and legs were hanging out of the window. It was very scary; it felt like we were in a tumble dryer for ten minutes!”

Beer also admitted he was 'lucky to be alive' following the accident, which unsurprisingly left the Sunbeam as a write-off.

It's a wonder they could see anything, I turn the cockpit shake and stuff off when I have a run out in the 88's in rFactor cos my eyes just can't deal with it. It's surprising how much smoother modern F1 seems to be, I guess its down to decent tarmac, not stuff laid by the local irish driveway cowboys :) ( No offence intended to any Irish cowboys out there  )
Not really. The bumps are accentuated more in today's cars because the suspension is so hard so any bumps would show if the camera was not mounted properly. I have had people tell me it's because the cameras are stabilised. This is not true. The reason the cameras don't vibrate now is because they are bolted down so tight that they are - to all intents and purposes - an integral part of the chassis. I used to work with the bloke (Peter Stone) who developed an awful lot of this stuff. At one stage Australia led the world in onboard camera mounting and links and he was the man who developed it. The mount was only part of the story. The other part was the link.

I was watching Indy last night through the IRL website where they give you access to a bunch of onboard cameras and their associated radio comms. Each time a driver was complaining about excessive vibration you could actually see it - with the onboards showing side by side some would be blurry and others fine and it would be fixed at the next pitstop.
