If you are using the JPN version of GT5P, you need to press triangle in order to enable the clutch (or something similar, I don't have one so don't know exactly) before the race begins and you take control of the car.

G25 are not available retail here as yet, so they didn't bother enabling the G25 properly... At least they gave you the opportunity to use it though, no matter how annoying pressing triangle every race is!

Final version of GT5 *should* be out in Japan by the end of 2008, and then it will be out locally early 2009 hopefully.

I think though it will be delayed and delayed like any other big game!

Just read the post on GTplanet and I find it interesting about the part of combining GT and F1 games together, I think that idea is fantastic!

A bunch of different championships in the game just like "Race Driver" Even if its just downloaded content so they still make some money off it.

Shit aye?

Almost worth buying a PS3 for this. I think I'll wait and see if they come down in price before GT5's launch.

When they drop the price, they drop the quality of the console :)

Not so, the 360 was a POS from the get go, which reminds me. i should really ring MS and get mine fixed. RROD FTL

Yeah, maybe i should rephrase that. Would quantity be a better word? Considering when it gets cheaper, you lose BWC and get a smaller HDD.

Don't really care about BWC as i have a PS2 to play those games, and smaller HDD? Put a bigger one in yourself, really isn't that hard.

But lets not argue the merits about the consoles and hopefully enjoy GT5-P when its released

I have to say that I have a unit with the larger HDD (been replaced with a much bigger unit), also I have backwards compatability and have never attempted to use it, if they only had the current unit when I purchased it I wouldn't have worried......

I think that once you get a new console you will generally replace old games with the newer version's and never play them again

I'm not hating on the 40GB version if that's what people are thinking (I own one myself). I'm just saying that in order for Sony to get prices down, they have to make sacrifices. But I don't think this will be an issue when it starts to sell well. Which it is, I think it just outsold the 360 for the 1st part of the year in the US.

Quickly thinking about that statement. Wouldn't it be the other way round? Meaning while its all brand new with "fancy" features, Sony would up the price because it will still sell from the fanboys and early adopters. Allowing for price cuts later on, including the internal price drops for general parts (eg: Blueray Drive). Which still allows Sony to make a profit much later on in its PS3 lifespan. Without getting into retailers profits :)
