Awesome @norbs

Has the ZWIFT exodus started after the recent 33% price rise???
Firstly, and most importantly, I wanted to say thank you and give a warm welcome to the huge number of people who have recently joined indieVelo. With more than twice as many riders this week compared to last , I'm humbled by the continued support for our connected community and its collective vision for the future of cycling esports.

Seems that way. 3 of the Culburra crew have moved over. My Zwift doesnt expire until Dec, so plenty of time to see what iV is like. That said, I have paid for 2 months to help support it whilst I look.

Also, grabbed a set of these to try out.

Sadly not wireless, but you cant have everything.

i think that's a key reason that RGT failed.. you were almost exclusively riding with bots. If you can jump online and be riding with people, or even better, people you know, then half the battle is won.. maybe?

noticed on their last update that they now have an AppleTV version of IndieVelo, but only available to their Founders members. Now tempted to drop some $$ to try it out.

How often do you guys use iV? The lack of humans is the only thing frustrating me now.

Got the controllers. Interesting with virtual gears.

i have currently used it zero times :D
i have it installed on my tablet, but while it runs, it's getting about 10 fps :/

your lack of humans experience is why pretty much every other platform seems to fade away. :( I can't blame them for starting out that way, since that's exactly what Zwift did in their first year or so.

Next time I do indoor I plan to try indieVelo but indoor isn't appealing to me much lately.

Maybe escaping dinosoars will be more motivating.

i've been watching Norbs' live streams of his IndieVelo sessions recently..
looks mostly okay from what i can see, though the HUD looks quite busy and cluttered.

And sledging me too!

I am loving it. Todays race was supposed to be all humans but they set it up wrong. So I got to race a bunch of bots in the lowest grade :)

i'm sort of getting that impression based on the drop off of zwift rides and the significant increase in indievelo rides. That seems to indicate that they are getting something right that the other zwift competitors didn't.

i think it is the fact that the developer is open to ideas, has a plan and it gels a lot with how I like things.

It wont be gamified. You have to consider wind and braking etc.

thought i'd try downloading indievelo on my AppleTV with the thought of maybe stumping up some cash to try it.. can't find it in the apple store or whatever it is.. scratch that idea then.

depending on how motivated i get i might need to fire up my old computer for it.

I have it on my tablet, so maybe i'll struggle with it on there for a little bit.
