Rinoseat Revolution - G25 Edition

Post by renorino »

Rinoseat Revolution is a fully-adjustable simulation chassis that allows you to mount a steering wheel/joystick controller and pedal controller to provide a more realistic experience while playing your favorite racing/flying simulator games.

doesn't do much for me... the back rest looks like it would break/bend if forced. i'd need the steering wheel and shifter mounted higher, doesn't quite look right compared to a real driving position, ie, top of steering wheel needs to be more aligned with drivers head etc..!??!!? anyways, i haven't built one so you guys are one up on me,,, well done for having a go! hope you have some good sales.

you can't brake/bend the back rest, it consist of steel plate 5mm thicknes and steel tube 2mm thicknes

Image

here, you can see elasticity of back rest
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 6755598644

you can't see that on pictures, but in structure of seat back are many steel reinforces
we used CAD/CAE software for designing such form of steel, and it was one of biggest problems in construction
back rest is very heigh (80cm), and because of the long arm he produces strong force

Rinoseat looks minimalistic (and it is light, only 10kg/12kg), but such type of design was enormous problem for construction

please, look this video with man 200cm/115kg in Rinoseat
http://youtube.com/watch?v=xN5QLNdUwuo
http://youtube.com/watch?v=VeVr5msK-Fo

here, you can compare this man with others:
Image

here, you can see higher position of shifter mount
Image
Image

Rinoseat has 7 adjustments:

1 pedal plate angle
2 pedal plate distance
3 wheel table height
4 wheel table distance
5 seat back angle
6 shifter mount distance
7 shifter mount height (lower and higher)

so, no problem with any sitting position in Rinoseat

in Rinoseat you can change style of sitting:

1. Rally style
Image

2. GT or middle style
Image

3. F1 style
Image

Can you imagine, how Rinoseat must be stabile and strong, when it can keep the driver safely sitting in this position (position of F1 driver).

Hmm, that actually looks pretty good. Only couple of problems I can see for myself being my desk is probably a bit high and I use the Advantage1 pedals, not sure how they would mount. I also don't really race enough these days to warrant spending the money but if I did this would be very tempting.

That rhinoseat really looks good. I dont' race that much lately either, but it does look good. Alto the $500 is a hefty tag (I'm sure it's worth it but it's still quite a bit of money for a seat)
I also wonder how it would work with A1's

Interestingly I haven't heard much good about frex. I've looked at them but they were expensive and had poor customer service. That's a bad start. Those who bought it did not say much about it. Which probably means it's not *that* good.
I'd like to hear more about them if they have changed etc...
Surprise, no sig. Now there is. Or is there?

I believe Montey on this forum bought some FREX pedals.. Might have been a different brand but im fairly sure they were FREX. I believe he was fairly happy with them.

Yeah, I got the ECCI's, which are still as solid as the day that I got them (original POTs and everything).

hmmm after investigating further, just for the wheel your not going to get much change for $2500 just for the wheel :fall:

however apparently the wheel has enough torque to break a mans wrist :yikes:

now I want one :D

You want a broken wrist, Doso? I reckon Sin can organise that cheaper for you :D

On topic; the ECCI is a different league, they are totally awesome but that price tag makes it unavailable for most of us. Money is the envy of most of us, I reckon, by having that pedal set ;)

sif ricer! :p

as nice as the g25 is I just dont like how you can easily over ride the ff with a bit of muscle, I want as realistic FF as possible!

actually have you guys seen the new pics of Robo's new A1 pedals they look at lot like the ECCI pedals and also incorporate a load cell instead of pots and springs for the brakes!
