Pity it's not a period sim. Then we could have proper circuits as well as proper cars.

it is. its based on the new Motor2 engine that ISI is using for rFactor.

GTR has worked fine for me. I've seriously had about 2 or 3 problems in a lot of online races by now.

GTL does indeed use the new ISI engine. So it means we get Dx9 shaders and the like. Real-time day-night transitions are there too.

It looks the goods to me. If it bases the multiplayer off rFactor too then it should be great online. Slower slidy cars. I've talked to a couple of people and they say the handling is lots of fun indeed. :tilt:

Seriously cant understand peoples gripes with GTR. I got my copy this week and it has to be the best and most immersing simulation ive ever played. The ai is bloody fantastic compared to other games, they really race you, the sound and cars are beautiful, and the handling is great!.

I really find this the greatest simulation ever made.

I know there are some glitches online, but it only effects some people. Believe me this isnt a half finished game, its just some online bugs to iron out. And i too am annoyed with Simbin for not rectifying these, but i can forgive them because this is the first time ive genuinly been challenged in single player mode and really love the racing offline.

I will definately be getting GT Legends if its anywhere near as good as GTR.

Theres only minor problems with GTR online most are caused by addon cars/skins but the physics, racing and random weather with live track more than make up for it.

The race i had online last night with random weather was absolutely awesome.
It started of with a damp track so everyone was taking it easy and others that pushed abit too hard were sliding off the track.
Everyone was thinking should i pit and put intermediates on or stay out and hope the track dries up.
Some pitted but most risked it and stayed out.
After about 7 laps the track had dried up.
The rest of the race remained dry but towards the end of the race it was threatening to rain again.

I normally hate road racing but this sim is awesome.

As for GT Legends dont like the look of that from the videos ive seen the handling is very arcadey looks more like Need for speed underground than a race sim.

I think they drove the presentation in an arcade mode, for GTLegends.

If you try the rfactor demo (wich uses also the ISI2 engine, and wich is waaay older) you can see physics are good, i think simbin will do even better.
Espacially the sense of speed is something wich stuned me, in the rfactor demo. Just try it, even if its just for that.

I was very sceptic after the pictures and cars i had seen for rFactor but after trying the demo i can say its worth it to have a look at that.

Compare the old ISI games to GTR... i think GTLegends will be fine in that aspect.

I really hope they fix the mutliplayer for GTL, if it works in GTR everything is most of the time fine, but there are aspects wich could be alot better.

Well aynway the only thing on the downside with GTL for me atm is that it will only be driven on modern tracks, but i am awaiting it with high hopes.

Funny thing is the ISI engine is now the best gaming engine, it used to be good, but had problems.

This looks very interesting. I'm still yet to try the full version of GTR but the fact of running a GT-40 sure sounds good to me.

Looks like my sort of sim... I've come to realise in GT4 that I am buying and loving all the 60's & 70's cars in it. Must be because that was my favourite era of motorsport & cars - none of this safety crap and no bloody chicanes please!!!!! :D :)

 Yours isnt to shabby either

I am for sure looking forward to GTL we will see what they make with the netcode and stuff.

If we are lucky and they keep their promise, we can try that in a demo next month... :)

I think they said something similar on the demonstration in hockenheim.

But its more of a rumor i guess, but in the past they gave us also a demo way before the game (gtr) was released, so i think it possible.

Hopefully it lives up to the hype and the annoying bugs in GTR are not present in this game. :D

Ive gotta say im more then a bit worried this isnt going to be as realistic as GTR, i just get the feeling this is aimed at the general market, with more of an arcade feel.

I havnt seen the vid though.

I just wish they would fix the online part in GTR, if it had good online it would be the only game simmers would play!.
