CST pedals

Post by tony p »

I'm very pleased to announce the availability of CST Pedals and accessories to the Australian/Asia market.

After sourcing parts and manufacture from some of the finest machine workshops in Australia, CST pedals are now available for order.

I'm very pleased to announce the availability of CST Pedals and accessories to the Australian/Asia market.

After sourcing parts and manufacture from some of the finest machine workshops in Australia, CST pedals are now available for order.

EDIT: The prices have been updated to reflect the increase in price of parts (mainly from the USA). This is a direct result of the change in value of the Australian dollar (when CST Aus started, the AUD was 95c to the USD).

The new prices are similar to the CST USA prices but still represent great value considering the quality of the pedals.

CST 2B and 2R $650
CST 3B and 3R $840
CST 2B and 2R with floor bracket $798
CST 3B and 3R with floor bracket $998
Extra floor bracket (pair) $190

Prices for CST-F1 pedals and brake upgrades are TBA but expect availability to be a similar time frame to CST-USA.

They look nice. If I had not the A1's I might think about it.

As it stands I'm looking to buy pressure-plate brake pedals next, I'm fed up with the spring or rubber ones.
Surprise, no sig. Now there is. Or is there?

Do CST use a load cell? I thought I heard somewhere that they did. Or maybe people have modified them to.

Yes. CST pedals use a load cell and custom made USB box (which also has connections for a button box).

The load cell and its associated electronics are what makes the CST pedals ideal for iRacing (no locking brakes) compared to other designs using potentiomters.

CST 3B and 3R with floor bracket $690
CST 2B and 2R with floor bracket $540
Extra floor bracket (pair) $130

As CST Australia is just starting out, I'll be taking the same approach to my business as Todd.

That is, I'll start my first run after receiving deposits from 5-10 customers.

All prices listed are in Australian Dollars and postage is extra of course. I live on the South Coast of NSW so I'm happy to deliver these initial sets free of charge to my first customers (within the Sydney/Illawara/Southern Highlands areas) to ensure they're happy with their purchases.

Prices for CST-F1 pedals and brake upgrades are TBA but expect availability to be a similar time frame to CST-USA.

As Todd??

And where abouts on the South coast?

Ah, can you post a shot of that brake pedal too? Edit: or a picture where it's apparent....
I thought all of them are spring + potmeter ones...I might be interested after all...
Also: is there a way to adjust the pedal angle?

Edit2:
wait, I haven't looked at the link in your sig yet...

yarrr....now that looks sexy. thanks! I can see the loadcell on it too. :D

Another question here: if you put the floor brackets against your desk's back (or a wall) would the pedals remain operational? (not touching the wall?)
I've no frame atm and in this unit I'll not likely have one either, it's a tad small for that :D

Ah...and what's the pedal throw?

As you cas see, the pedal base postions the pedals themselves quite far from the wall and.

The pedals themselves sit quite far from the leading edge of the base:)

Nice and nicer...I was asking the pedal throw to compare it to A1's, to see how fine the control is.

I'll have a hard time convincing the missus to get one of these...anyone wants to buy my A1's? It's one of the first batch...

Shaun: The average height most people set theirs at is about 45cm (measured from the floor to the top of the springs). The maximum is 50cm.

YSU: The pedal throw max is about 8 cm.

So lots of range to be had:)

Just one more note in relation to the range of the pedals.

The most important feature of the pedals is their extensive digital resolution. This is achieved through the use of a combination of the electronics (military-grade pot's and USB box) and the pedal shafts themselves. So even if you're a fan of short throw pedals, the resolution is still smooth.

As I'm having my pedals made out of stainless steel, the non coloured option will also be available.

This is an Australia-only option at present and will not be sold outside of our region.
