Divisions

Post by Exar Kun »

Looks like we've been placed in divisions now. Where'd people end up?

I scored Div 1 for the Skippy - which means I have zero chance of competing for a championship now but that's not my main thing with the game. Div 2 would have been nice though - I was hoping to be grouped with the sub-aliens rather that who I ended up with! Div 2 in the Mazda - a series I've only run one race in. And Div 3 in LMs - also a series I've only run one (official) race in.

So, if there's 820 drivers in the Skippy championship at the moment then roughly 80 drivers per division?

Yeah, his iRating is back up at 3000 so he started racing properly again last week. The guy must have zero life though - he just cranks out races like crazy.

Is there a results filter so you can see what position you are in within you assigned division?

Similar to this http://members.iracing.com/membersite/m ... season=109

I've done that filter for my div, and the ordering by default is by 'club points' - what's that?

Div 9 for the Skippy, don't care about the oval racing.

I woulda been higher if it wasn't for rage quits and stupid mistakes. It's hard to have fun sometimes when the game is so clinically anal. But meh, that's the way it is. I hold 2nd spot in the div at the moment and probably will end up on top for international club if I don't stack and win a couple more. See what happens I guess.

I'd expect to see a few people in divisions that they really shouldn't be in based on pace alone. And it'll be interesting to see which of those people step up and make a fight of the division championship.

I certainly won't be a competition to the top guys in Div2 :D I don't know how I ended up being here, I'm not this good, by a long shot.

I'd say the same about div - i'm pretty close to the cutoff me thinks. My irating is only 2700 or so but the 5000 guys are in the same division!

Top half of a club's drivers in a given series score points for the club.

Skippy Div 6 some how?? Iv'e only run 2 races and come last in both (well except for people that disconnected). Are the divisions set in stone for the rest of the series? If so, my goal is to not come dead last in my division and I'll be happy.

It's determined by your iRating rather than your position in the series as far as i know.

soooo, how is the championship per division worked out? Do you go off the Series Stats - Season Standings? and if your the highest placed Div 3 driver on this list, are you the winner for that division? or does it come back to the Club and Division Stats - ??
