New track
In IRacing news they have just announced a new track "Bristol oval," I remember this track from nascar 2003 sim and it was a fantastic track to drive. I might have to go without my 6 pack of Johnie Walkers this weekend to purchase it. I am somewhat a little concerned with the love affair the yanks have with oval racing and hope an equal share of road circuits continue to be implemented.
My favourite oval track is Bristol
road is Bathurst
street circuit is Adelaide
Having said that I change like the wind and next month i would give you a different answer
My question to my fellow sim racers is what track you would like to see implemented in IRacing in oval, road and street?

Re: New track
oval; the less the better
street; the less the better (if anything, then a track with plenty of road space, nothing like macau)
road; Donington

Oh dear, this announcement makes the announcement over @ LFS seem so much more exciting (when it really isn't either imho).

Re: New track
I admit that Bristol is an awesome track. The atmosphere, even in a sim, is great with those massive stands. And it'd certainly be on my must see list of tracks in real life...
But I'm only really interested in the road courses still. I can't wait to see what sort of detail turns up in the Long Beach track. And Mid Ohio and Watkins are just classic circuits.

I remember Bristol from Nascar 1!
Oval=Calder! (I really couldn't car less, although Talladega is a nice fast one)
Road=Imola, San Marino (Although Phillip Island would be nice, and a dream; The Nordschleife for special endurance events )
Street=Gotta love Melbourne.

Re: New track
I know it's been done to death in sims, but apart from GP4, it really hasn't been done very well - i'd love to see Monaco done properly.

Yeah the last turn is a dooseyBauer wrote:RA now there is a good fun track. be good with that prototype thingyKNAPPO wrote: Road = Road Atlanta

Road Atlanta being a Yankee track, there is a fair good chance it could get scanned.
There are many European tracks ide rather have but its one of the great American road tracks and isn't in that many sims.
EDIT:
This PIC shows the elevation change of the final turn at RA.
If the final turns at Infineon & Summit Point seem bad, this one would drive people nuts!!!

Re: New track
Unfortunately the size of your bank account doesn’t translate to you ability to drive cars fast……. Looks like that guy found that out the hard way

Re: New track
All depends whether he went off when going slowly or pushing and driving fast, doesn't it? Name me an F1 driver who hasn't stacked their F1 car? Chances are he falls into the former category but then everyone pushes too hard sometimes, no matter what their skill level.

Re: New track
the thing is we think that it's a bugger to ruin such a nice car, and it's a big hit to your wallet; but it might just be one of his 15 cars, and he may just buy another one next week to replace this. Minor nuisance, cause you need to hitch a ride home?
