Hey All,
Washing machine has decided to be difficult and not actually washing.... spin cycle fine, fills and drains water fine... no worky on the wash cycle. The POS is a Fisher&Paykel and was just wondering if anyone here either a) knows a little about what could the issue or b) knows of a decent washing machine repairer here on the Central Coast.

Re: Washing Machine Blues
No belts under a Fisher and Paykel machine.
It runs a rotor & stator setup. Basically, while it does everything else and doesn't wash properly, there's a 98% chance that it's the rotor position sensor. They burn out after a while. Easy enough to fix yourself too.
Turn the machine off at the wall (duh), Flip it on it's back, undo the single large bolt that holds the rotor on (The large round silver thing ), take that off, Undo the 4 bolts that hold the stator on (Copper coloured round thing) and unplug the wires.
Now, when you have the stator out (Copper thing) you'll see a white sensor thing that clips into it. You'll most probably break it getting it out, but it's ok. Take note of how it goes in, grab the new one, slid it in, put machine back together
PM me if you want any more help

Oh... just go to an electrical repair shop, take model with you, and ask for a Rotor Positioning Sensor.
Part Number SHOULD be (Nearly all models are the same): 420296P
That suits models:
MW511
MW512
MWC11
MWC12
GW511 GW611 GW711
GW512 GW612 GW712
GWC11 GWM11 GWL11
GWC12 GWM12 GWL12
IW511 IW711 IW811
IW512 IW712 IW812
IWM11 IWL11
IWM12 IWL12
As I'm guessing it's one of those models.
