Re: The Granny
that was an awesome result
We are Geelong, the 2nd best team of all, we are Geelong, and yes we dropped the ball
We played the game as it should be played, but we didnt put our handbags awaaaaaaaaaay
But now our tears will flow, from dawn to dark- down at Kardinia Park

Went for the Hawks as well. Well done.
Doesn't make up for the fact that Port Melbourne lost the VFL grand final yesterday though.

Re: The Granny
yeah I was going for Port last night too. The game showed there is daylight between the skill of AFL compared to VFL. Still good to see state footy played at the Dome.

THere is something about the VFL though (VFA for the older people... which includes me). Its a reminder of what football used to be like. And it gives people a chance to follow a team from the place they live.

Re: The Granny
if Geelong could have kicked straight they'd of made it a much tighter battle. They seemed to have a slightly better play through the middle of the ground, but as soon as it got near the forward line they either lost it or couldn't kick it through the big sticks. Hawthorn were able to goal pretty much whenever they had a shot, and that's what wins games.

I heard on the radio some guy put $400,000 on the Hawks to win. He got 1 mil back.
