Cool I am posting this with my ipod sitting in a cafe by the sea drinking coffee.
I love technology.

I tend to back songs up on DVD anyway, so its not really an issue. I must admit to being a iPod fan boy.

after playing around with iTunes for a few days i am now happy enough with it, i hated it at first until i figured out how to make sure i control what's going on rather than it syncing everything all the time. I'm running the x64 version and it's really quite nice. And having coverflow on my nano has forced me to get all the proper cd artwork for all my albums.

If you can't get the album art work, just find a jpg of it and drop it into the album space in iTunes straight from the web. That will copy it to the iPod as well.

I lost my bag the other week with amongst other things, my mp3 player in it. Luckily insurance is coming to the party, and I can pick up a 120gig Ipod classic from Harvey Norman.

I don't really have a need for 120gb, so am debating between upgrading to a 16gb touch (Have to pay about $80 extra) or a 8gb Iphone (470 extra - but locked to telstra which is another 150 to unlock!!)

I'm keen on having one less device to carry around, so the iphone is tempting, but that $150 to unlock is daylight robbery. And 8GB might be a tiny bit small for my music, but I am sure I can deal with that.

Help me decide, ARSE!

Has to be through Harvey Norman for insurance purposes, and they only supply Telstra mobiles

Don't even think about getting an iPhone... until the 12th of June. Then we'll know what new features the 3rd Gen iPhone will have and when its available. As for the iPod Touch I don't when it'll be updated, maybe Sep-Oct.
