I have an iPhone... I also have questions!
I want to create or use mp3's as my ringtone... any ideas?
Same goes for my sms/msg tone...
I also want to add album art to some of my albums within the iPod, is that possible? even when itunes can't detect what album it is?
Cheers

I thought, rather than download and try half a dozen programs, i'd take the advice of fellow ARSE's!

I just downloaded MAGIX Ringtone Maker for my el-cheapo handset. You can overlay tracks, speed it up, simulate the ringtone, cut etc. Seems pretty good to me

re the album art.. goto wikipedia or something and copy the album art, then find a song from that album in itunes, and option up the details.. goto artwork and click paste. Done

After paying $1.20 for the awesomeness that is flight control, I can't bring myself to drop a HUGE $6 on peggle. It doesn't seem right lol.
Peggle is awesome though, I'll probably cave when I get bored of my current games. Best score in flight control is 110. Been stuck on that for awhile

There is a lot to like about the iPhone, but still I don't know if I want one. No running background apps?? What if I want to read an address from SMS when looking at GPS? No alarm when it is turned off? Nokia has been doing it for years. I dont want my phone on all night, but I do want it to wake me up.
Hmmm.

Because the phone understands addresses (and lots of others things) as data detector. You'd tap the address in the SMS. The phone opens Maps and displays the location with a pin. I understand the point about background apps but looking back with 6+ years of Nokias, I'd honestly only used the switch app function 7-10 times. Then again I must use my phone differently to you.norbs wrote:There is a lot to like about the iPhone, but still I don't know if I want one. No running background apps?? You really power off your phone every night? Because the iPhone goes into deep sleep after 15mins. Like OS X, I've never missed an alarm. I'm just a tad shocked tis all

Good point about the SMS to maps thing. I do use multiple apps on the N95 quite a lot. But maybe the IPhone will do things in a different way. I need to play with one me thinks.wabbit wrote:Because the phone understands addresses (and lots of others things) as data detector. You'd tap the address in the SMS. And yes, most nights the phone goes off. Stops calls from my whacky mates over seas that have fucked up the time conversion.

I learnt the hard way that an alarm wont go off if the phone is in silent mode.... that REALLY sucks...

Same, my phone mostly lives in silent. Steve just swipe to unlock and up the volume a bit. You might have had the volume on one bar or something. iPhones do the whole volume thing differently I've found.
