Bike Transport

Post by doug99 »

I have made the decision to learn how to ride a motorbike - I have my dads Honda CA250T Rebel which he got to learn on a few yearsback and even rode up until a few weeks ago, he gave me one lesson a few years back but we never got the chance to do more while he was alive...

Anyway, the bike is currently in Tyalgum (near Murwulumbah) any ideas on the best way to get it to Dubbo? I mean other than me attempting to ride it :D

I am sure that this will be the first of many questions about the bike - be prepared for the stupid ones......

Really? My fiancee grew up there - not a big place! She moved away in 1995 and lived just up in the hills above the town proper.

Congrats :D bikes are indisputably The Greatest Things Ever..... though they can take over your life a "little" :faint:

Sorry to hear about your dad.

I guess your options are:
* get a trailer/ute
* get a mate who can ride
* learn to ride first :shrug:

How long 'til you need to pick it up?

e: search is down atm, but it might be worth a try later, "transporting bike" or similar.
(plus it's generally a good place for bike-info: http://www.netrider.net.au/forums/index.php)

your not attempting.. you had a lesson, and you could take it slow not "hard" as such (but peoples skills vary)

other then that ride with some one else eg bike/bike - and learn on the way, bike and car - some one else for support/riding the bike for you, 3rd is trailer
Some play it safe on the merry-go-round, others go for the thrills of the roller-coaster.

I have a joke for you. I have a prediction that you are going to walk into a bar, my prediction was wrong and your wallet is gone.
