Wanted: EA F1 Manager 2001

Post by Virtual-R »

Unsure whether this was released locally, but if anyone has a copy they are willing to part with let me know.

Got a version if it but its a bit fishy, keeps crashing once I get to the 2nd season, really enjoy playing it even if it is outdated n want to be able to carry on season to season.

Also if anyone knows of a more modern game that is similar n could let me know that would be great.

I'll cover the cost of the game and postage to Melb.

Thanks,

Roy

I'd be interested in getting hold of a copy too

Where can I get the "fishy" version you speak of Roy?

Not sure to be honest man, I got it probably 6 months ago and only got around to installing and playing it in the last few weeks. It can be annoying though, have to constantly set the time to GMT before any of the options work and it's still got a few problems after that. It was the 2000 edition, heard they released a 2001 after that, same game apparently just with a few changes. Hoping it would have bug fixes too.

There is a couple of copies of the game on amazon, but a bit over priced. If I cant get it locally I might get one though. There is a small online community that still plays the game with no problems, so guessing it might just be the fishy one that has dramas.

Best manager around is Grand Prix Manager 2.

I know this because i co-run a website dedicated to it ;)

http://www.gpm2world.com

you can get lots of things there, mods and what not. info, and atm there is a 2009 mod update being created which is going to be the biggest thing we ever released. sadly there is still bugs in the game but alot of stuff has been worked on.

go check out our forums and the mods we have.. and wait on the 2009!
