NFL

Post by c.j »

Any of you lads into it?

Been watching a lot more this season than any before, mainly due to time available. Suprised to see how well Minnesota have done since picking up Favre. I was a Packers fan as as kid, then changed to Tampa Bay fan in my adult years.

Hoping to get to a live Tampa Bay game in 2012 on my honeymoon

I personally dont mind it.. the problem is the games are just soo long and slow.. especially if its close.

NBA is where its at in terms of American sports ;)

I was right into to back in the late 80's early 90's when Don Lane was our main TV man. He was a big Giants fan and back then I would take the day off to watch the Superbowl. I was a big 49ers fan. Days of Montana, Young and Rice. Got to drive past Candlestick Park and went to the 49ers official store while San F way back in '91

I still follow them, albeit by results only and as far as American sports go, this is #1 for me. (though I dont mind watching a brawl in case an ice hockey game breaks out)

Will put some money on the Saints this week, my first ever sports bet! Don't watch much of it but follow it through the ESPN podcasts, should be a cracking Superbowl, wonder what the over under will be set at for total points? 70?

Well I picked the winner and just needed that last Colts TD to cover the over on the total points, oh well, great game, great result and I only lost 30 cents or something!

First half was average, but after that on side kick it picked up. Congrats to the Saints. Guess they needed a boost after 2005

Yep the 2 biggest & ballsy'iest plays in NFL history with that on-side kick & the go-ahead extra point to make it a 2 possession game late in the 4th won it for the Saints. It was a do or die effort that could have gone either way but they were rewarded for taking the risk & made it very entertaining for us. Congrats to them.
