Top 19 cars covered by 1 second. Not too much wrong with GT-3 :vibes:

So happy that Aston Martin is quick this year but pity they got a PS penalty in Qual earlier.

The 888 Supercar Superteam are struggling given the rest of the AMG's look good.

I just hope tomorrow isn't a SC fest given some of the impatience seen so far.

Awesome lap, hey got the best conditions as the sun parked behind a big cloud but Jake Dennis nailed it and was visibly quicker into the final corner where we were.

All set for a great race. Hopefully BMW can do better in the race than qualifying.

All the talk at the track was the under performing 888 car. I wouldn't count them out yet though..

Aston Martin driver Jake Dennis has been stripped of pole position at the Bathurst 12 Hour despite destroying the field in the top 10 shootout at Mount Panorama.
Dennis blitzed the field by almost half a second to take the coveted Allan Simonsen Pole Position award on Saturday, but his team drops down two places on the Sunday's grid for speeding in pit lane during qualifying.

Just over 2hrs to go & It's starting to build to a typical B24 end.
Good to see there has been some long green flag racing...
But will a late SC mute all the late race strategy in play right now?

And there it is although 100+ green racing laps was damn impressive.
Now let's see the carnage ensue. :rara:

Great finish albeit with the result in question...
No idea if Campbell's pass on Mostert was legit but not having a clear result at the end of the race is a bit disappointing.

It looked like a side by side hit to me because Chaz didn't have any opposite lock on as if he'd been hit from the left rear.

The win stands, Campbell cleared.

That was my initial thoughts too w00dsy but not having any close ups or vision from Campbell's cockpit made it difficult for the punter to call.

I enjoyed what I watched today. I like GT-3 racing. Such a different mix of cars and yet they are close in times. I enjoy it more than V8 supercars.

Jesus.. What a day.. Watched the start from turn one, breakfast at the tent on mountain straight, meet up with nutty up the top and walked round to forrest elbow.. All before 11am!

Rather than leaving before the end we stayed and managed to photo Matt Campbell at the end! It's nice sitting now writing this looking down on the Pitt complex.

This event is just epic. You guys have gotta come up one year.

Matt Campbell’s final stint and passing moves were fantastic. He’s such a talent. I hope a lot of people took notice of what he’s capable of overseas.

GT3 is a great category, the advantages and disadvantages of the cars on a track which rewards bits of everything. Was a good race with quality cars/teams/drivers.

I’m sure it’ll improve again next year too.
