iPhone instant messenger?

Post by Big Kev »

Hi

I've got a friend with an iphone and he wants to know what the best IM app is.
He's tried IM+ but finds it drops out on him a lot even if the signal is 100%.

Any other options?

out of all ive tried BeeJiveIM is by far the best, but its also a paid app.. not free.

meebo, it's free and it works well, you can run it in the background and if someone sends a message it'll push it to you. I tried the others and to be honest most of them are very similar. I tried BeeJive and IM+ and Meebo and i stuck with Meebo.

ebuddy is horrible, no landscape or auto correction.

Woodsy did you pay for BeeJive then not use it?? Im interested to know what you didn't like about it.. Its by far the best I've tried, although I havnt tried meebo. All the reviews Ive read said the same thing.. you pay for Beejive, but its worth it because its much better.

Paid = Beejive
Free = Meebo

I've had Beejive since the day it came out (literally). It's as stable as a rock for me, push notifications are great. I set it to keep me logged in for a week - I've set up a "mobile" msn account, now me and a few of my mates use beejive instead of sms...

And due to the simple fact that Beejive is not free, I'd assume that it's better than Meebo, however I haven't tried meebo... I do use their service from a PC from time to time.

Tried the free one which I think is the same but with ads. It's basically the same as meebo. I find meebo to be very neat and clean. If I had to pay for a messenger it would be beehive but there's no real need that I can see.
