Aman'thul Alliance here but I've been playing Rift of late. It reeks of WoW but is unique in it's own way and very very good. Well worth a look. It doesn't do anything new to advance the genre but has a more mature feel than WoW.

Also been playing iRacing and GPL 69 xtra mod.

Been reading up on Guild Wars 2 lately. If they can pull off what they are talking about, it should be quite interesting.

Used to play WoW up until about a month after xpac. Played rift, but it was lonely. Great game though! What server you on? Am/was on Wolfsbane. War/Chloro as well as a Pal/Rift tank :)

In Rift I'm on Seastone as defiant. I know some people that play so not too bad when you have someone to talk too. I'd be pve if I didn't know anyone playing Rift.

To change the subject slightly, I have been tinkering with Strike Fighters 2. A big patch and expansions were released in May which further improved the game and made it easier to merge the various versions (vanilla, Vietnam, Israel and Europe). I'm quite enjoying it as a dumbed-down Flying Cliffs 2 that is pretty accessible. Here's some screens from a training mission done by BeachAV8R and a single mission involving a pair of Skyhawks flying armed reconn.

I just got Red Orchestra and the mods off steam. Only running around in practice mode learning at the moment before I go get my arse shot to pieces online.

I know people who own this and we're about 40 kilometres a part at best so will make for some fun. For $10 it's cheap fun.

Game Arena runs Aussie RO and DH nights on Friday & Sat (and some times Sunday). 50 player server and usually gets a good turn out. Keep an eye on the forum and/or join the Steam group.

Otherwise, you can always catch a game (albeit with a +/- 200 ping) at the 29th's server for DH, or the 24/7 RO servers running Danzig or Arad (if you're into tanking).

There are also some Japanese servers with reasonable ping from here, but they tend to run quite a lot of localised mods.

also, RO2 - Heroes of Stalingrad is due out sometime soon. Should provide a nice boost to the community.

Finished Duke Forever on the weekend

I thought it wasn't too bad - opinions seem to be divided on wether it is a good game or not. I wasn't expecting it to have the latest graphics and gameplay so I wasn't dissapointed

Probably wasn't worth the $80 I paid for it tho :(

Very very few games are worth $80 and even less are worth $99.
