They missed blink 182 - dammit. It's exactly the chords they were using.

Actually some of the songs they used don't use those chords, the song just fits ok to them. Offspring for example. But it's still amusing.

they are using E, B, C# and then A.

The James Blunt song is half a step down D# A# C G#.

Forever Young is C G A F

I get what they mean, it's the same pattern but they have moved them all to E B C# and A to make it all fit. It's just a basic major scale which is really common anyway.
