A saw about the last hour. Thanks christ for Twitter entertaining me. Although I managed to lose a few followers with my snarkiness. The tweet about Lady Di lighting the flame got some real hate.

Kevs and the other UK freaks, did you enjoy it?

I was cheering for lawnmowers at the Sydney Olympics. That last hour bored me shitless.

Yeah it was ok.
The opening ceremony is usually quite entertaining from a 'show' point of view.
Was a bit boring to start with but picked up.
They needed to get the teams in a bit faster. That took nigh on 2 hours!
There's been tons of speculation about which of our famous olympians will actually light the cauldron and it turned out to be none of them Quite a nice touch to let some kids do it and the whole folding flame thing was pretty good I thought. Now just to see if Cavendish can get us off to a good start with a gold in the road race in the morning.

Now it's 1am so I'm off to bed.

It thought the opening segment was fantastic. To see, on such a massive stage, such a huge celebration of engineers and what they have achieved was a real buzz.

it was an OK ceremony, but when was there a good one that was like a movie? never in my opinion. I had minecraft to play with as the teams came out, so I made it.

Loved the 'cauldron' design... the flame liked massive when they turned it up. All the other cauldrons had one massive thing which made the flame tiny, I guess due to a degree of suffocation of the flame... the UK has a great design!
