iPhone help

Post by thornz »

Just got myself an iPhone yesterday, awesome piece of kit, loving it so far.
One thing though, is on the second screen where I have added a couple of apps, I have one that has a grey square, and continually says underneath Waiting....

Now, is there a way to delete this? I worked out how to delete other things by holding down, but this one doesn't come up with the little x to delete it.

Any suggestions? i have no idea what it is.

I had this yesterday on my iPad.

Press home and the sleep button at the same time for about 5 seconds
You'll get a screen with a red shutdown button. This is like doing a hard reset instead of just putting it to sleep. All your apps etc will be fine.
Slide that.
The screen will go black after the spoked wheel icon thing.
Then press those two buttons again for a couple of seconds and you'll get an apple logo on the screen and it'll restart.

The waiting icon should now be gone.

This sounds like a normal power down and power up. Is that the case? If so, you only need to hold the power button down each time

If your iPhone ever freezes, try holding both buttons down to force a reset.
