My biggest pet peeve on forums is when someone with no photographic or photoshop skills at all, tries to give advice on how something should be done to someone else on the forum who is far more talented & knowledgeable than they will ever be. :nod:
There's a nature photography forum I read and every picture gets about 10 replies of 'great photo!' even if it's a shit out of focus fly. I feel like posting NO IT ISN'T! IT'S A SHIT PHOTO! :) Doesn't help them if they take fuzzy pictures and you tell them they're all brilliant. That's a peeve of mine.
That's a tough one cause most people do not have the eye or understanding to know whats good or bad they just know they like the content , and i am one of these people :)
I hate it when people say you dont have the eye to know if its good :p

It's a photo, it either looks good or it doesn't! Who gives a shit what technical difficulties went into capturing it

Haha, that reminds me of another pet peeve.

When people post photos that have no redeeming features at all & retards say, "wow....that's awesome".
Fuck me no wonder every arsehole that picks up a camera immediately thinks they are professionals. :shake:
As an example my cousin posted a photo of herself & her husband recently that was not quite a silhouette, noisy & with minimal detail, it was truly awful, & her friends were commenting about how lovely it was. :nod:
It's a really common occurrence.

Actually I do understand it. When I first started taking photos that I thought were awesome I was quite taken aback when that one honest, enlightened person told me it wasn't nice & how it could be improved.
Now that I look back I can see what they were talking about.

For what it's worth I don't think anyone here rates a good photo on technical difficulty, some very simple images are amazing.
A technically difficult image rates on a different level in my opinion.

I agree on many of these points. But at the end of the day you also have to remember that a photo is often very subjective. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What I drool over for technical mastery, others couldn't give a toss about.

Actually what I said was mostly tongue in cheek.
It doesn't affect me in any way & I really find it mildly amusing.

Just read this twice in one thread on another site:

"I just spat coffee all over the screen when I read that"

Yeah, right. Happens all the time.

People that:

1. indulge in thread necromancy and then tell you it's thread necromancy in their post;

2. use the term "thread necromancy";

3. misspell "paid" as "payed";

4 type "then" when they mean "than";

5. type "prolly" when they know full-well that the word is "probably"; and

6. tell you they will have their say on a point later, but never do.
